It’s easy! You don’t have to sell anything, and your profit adds up quickly if you use this program for your everyday expenses like food, clothing, gifts, and other essentials. You can increase your revenue by giving gift cards for special occasions and by having additional family members order gift cards. (Download Scrip Order Form)
Participating retailers include Walmart/Sam’s Club, Pizza Hut, JC Penney, Lowes, Red Lobster, Shell, The Gap, Panera Bread, Barnes & Noble, and many more! You can find a complete list of retailers here: http://www.glscrip.com.
Here’s an example of a Scrip/Gift Card Order:
| Retailer | # cards | Cost Per Card | % Profit | Profit to Student |
| Gap Gift Card | (1) | $25.00 | 9% | $ 2.25 |
| Macys Gift Cards | (2) | $50.00 | 10% | $ 5.00 |
| Panera Gift Card | (2) | $20.00 | 9% | $ 1.80 |
| Totals | 5 | $95.00 | $ 9.05 |
This example shows a cost to you of $95 – you receive $95.00 worth of giftcards and your student will have $8.05 ($9.05 less the $1.00 processing fee) added to their 8th Grade Trip Account. A win – win situation.
Should your student decide not to go on the 8th grade trip, should you move, or for whatever reason, your student does not go on the 8th grade trip the “profits/funds” that were “deposited” into his/her account would then be added to the 8th Grade Trip “General Fund” and those funds will benefit all the students going on the trip. Bottom Line: You haven’t lost any money, you still have the full value of the cards!
